SBEM Calculations


New build commercial premises need to submit an SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) at the same time as your Building Control Application under Building Regulations Approved Documents L1 L2 (2006).
There are two stages to the assessment process:

Design– an assessment needs to be completed and submitted to the Building Control Body or Approved Inspector at the same time as the Building Control Application.

As-built- when the build is completed, a pass certificate will need to be produced and presented to the Building Control Body and approved by the Inspector.
